Founded in 1968 as one of the first biomedical engineering programs in the world, the Case Western Reserve University Department of Biomedical Engineering is the proud home of highly successful, comprehensive graduate programs in research and education. A graduate of the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Electronique, Hydrolique, Informatique et Automatique de Toulouse, France, as well as Case Western Reserve University and the University of Toronto, Professor Durand is an IEEE Fellow and Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biomedical Engineering and Fellow of the Institute of Physics.
